This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop at nearby Magalloway River if you're here at Leonard Pond; everyone nearby loves skiing at Sunday River. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Leonard Pond while night lows are typically in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's, and night lows in the-10's for Leonard Pond. | | Pine Point, and if you came for an overnight stay Mollidgewock Campground is a tremendous spot to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Speck Pond Trail is always a glorious adventure; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Diamond River. Cedar Pond
 | 17 miles away I spent most of my summers growing up at cedar pond.We had our camp there and I remember the penny candy at the red and white striped store and the dog inky. There was also a dog named cedar that would visit all the camps in search of food. The lake would be freezing even in August and when we had to start a fire in the furnace the only wood we had to burn was obviously cedar and the smell was wonderful. And though the ''camp'' my Pepere had is no longer there, the wonderful memories are.... |
