This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Baptist Pond right next door to Ledge Pond, it's a beautiful lake; nearby you hit upon the Wilmot Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff close to Ledge Pond. Loon Lake Campground is a tremendous campground here, and tremendous skiing awaits you at Mount Sunapee. Dexter's Inn & Tennis Club is a glorious site to get some rest; there's no such       thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Whaleback. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Ledge Pond gets a typical amount of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Ledge Pond, you can go for a hike along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail, and if you need a place to stay Burkhaven Lodge is a good choice. You can run the rapids of                  Sugar River near Ledge Pond, and Ledge Pond is a great location to camp, Rand Pond Campground is a great location. Summer at Ledge Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Ledge Pond. There's whitewater on Croyden Brook for all you adrenaline kick people; if you want to hit the beach, Dewey Beach is close by. Brown Hill is clearly visible from Ledge Pond, and on a delightful day it's a brilliant idea to spend the day at State Park Beach.
