    What a nice lake Laurel Lake is. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Laurel Lake; Red Cross Trail is a delightful local trail; as expected Kemp Brook is a scenic stream that is worth visiting. For the duration of the summertime at Laurel Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures  
   at Laurel Lake dip into the 0's.
Laurel Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, State Line Campground is a perfect local campground, and not far from Laurel Lake you'll discover Horseshoe Pond which is a scenic lake. Get soaked paddling on Millers River, and at Laurel Lake you can make out Taft Hill. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Crotched Mountain around here, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Sovereign Hotel is a great
 
               choice.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Laurel Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Laurel Lake Campgrounds is a glorious site for that. Lakes? Sure, Sportsman Pond is in close proximity. Good hiking is available along the Marlboro Trail, and you'll meet a lot of people from Keene here. From a rainfall point of view Laurel Lake is a reasonably common site; the month with most of the rain is May, and February is the month with the least moisture.
Dry warm beds await you at E.F. Lane Hotel, and drift down the rapids of Ashuelot River - South Branch in a kayak. All the outdoors cool stuff near Laurel Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. There's great hiking along the White Arrow Trail, and Horseshoe Pond Dam has great water scenery. Having a nice time at Laurel Lake is easy. Pine Ridge has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff, and if you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Shattuck Golf Course.
