State Park Beach is right next door to Lake Sunapee if you're in a beach type of mood, and you can go for a hike on the Monadnock Sunapee Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the West Ridge Trail, and Lake Sunapee Dam is lovely. High temperatures at Lake Sunapee throughout the summertime are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come       with highs in the 20's while Lake Sunapee overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. But wait, there's more to do close to Lake Sunapee. Mud Pond is a splendid lake near Lake Sunapee, and a magnificent close by hotel is Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge. Baisdell Hill is simple to spot from Lake Sunapee, and a spree to Birch Point is always a splendid idea. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Rand Pond Campground is a fine place                  to do that, and you can hit the slopes at Whaleback in close proximity. You can run the rapids of Croyden Brook in close proximity to Lake Sunapee. There's so much to do here at Lake Sunapee that you need to camp here for a while, Loon Lake Campground is a pleasant place for that. After a long day outdoors Lebanon Days Inn is a fine site to spend a night or two, and lakes are such serene places, why not stop by Sunapee Lake. This place, Lake Sunapee, it completely has so much outdoors fun stuff. Sugar River is a delightful whitewater spot near Lake Sunapee, and don't leave Lake Sunapee without first going for a hike along the Wilmot Trail. The amount of precipitation that falls at Lake Sunapee is close to the national average; most of the rain falls through August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
