You'll meet a lot of folks from Berlin here; Androscoggin River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Abeniki is close by. Through the warm days of summer at Lake Gloriette highs are usually in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Lake Gloriette tend to be in the-10's.

Cedar Pond
 | 13 miles away I spent most of my summers growing up at cedar pond.We had our camp there and I remember the penny candy at the red and white striped store and the dog inky. There was also a dog named cedar that would visit all the camps in search of food. The lake would be freezing even in August and when we had to start a fire in the furnace the only wood we had to burn was obviously cedar and the smell was wonderful. And though the ''camp'' my Pepere had is no longer there, the wonderful memories are.... |
