Hiking along the       Mount Cabot Trail is magnificent fun; a day on the slopes of Balsams Wilderness is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. The cheerful people of Berlin like to hang out nearby, and North Peak is beautiful and can be spotted from here. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the White Mountains. Going for a hike along the Upper Ammonoosuc Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; dry warm                  beds await you at Lancaster Motor Inn. After a long day outdoors Cabot Motor Inn is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and if you've had enough of Kilback Pond, Unknown Pond is close by. And that's not all you can do here at Kilback Pond. Kilback Pond is right by the York Pond Trail; whitewater paddling is good on Androscoggin River. Sure, York Pond is just a very short distance away. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Upper Ammonoosuc River - West Branch. This lake is so wonderful.
