Go for a hike on the Shore Trail, and Jonathan Pond is not far at all from Berlin. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Israel River, and Bag Hill is trouble-free to spot from Jonathan Pond. Stay the night at Roger's Campground, and a lake close by is Upper Ammonoosuc River Reservoir. Now, you may believe that's a load       but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Jonathan Pond. After a long day outdoors Pine Tree Motel is a great spot to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is nice on Upper Ammonoosuc River - West Branch. Summer at Jonathan Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime                  at Jonathan Pond temperatures sink to the-10's. The snow is great at Bretton Woods, and you don’t have to go far from Jonathan Pond to spot the water at Upper Ammonoosuc Dam. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Jonathan Pond has to offer, you can camp at Mountain-Lake Campground; swing by Potter Brook it's a brilliant spot to go to. Going for a hike on the Mount Cabot Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and Village Motel is a good place to get some rest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Balsams Wilderness and strap some skis to your feet, and there are magnificent places to explore along the Moose Trail.
