Jonathan Pond is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Connolly Cabins is a magnificent local campground; if you need a site to stay Coos Motor Inn is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Shore Trail, and you can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Balsams Wilderness. If you come at the right       time of year, Upper Ammonoosuc River - West Branch offers some good whitewater; there's great hiking along the Mount Cabot Trail. Do pop by Upper Ammonoosuc River Reservoir in the vicinity of Jonathan Pond, it's a beautiful lake, and Lancaster Motor Inn is a great place to get some rest. Stevens Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out, and you can distinguish Bag Hill from Jonathan Pond. You're sure to bump into some smiling people from Berlin here,                  and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Potter Brook. Jonathan Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Why not go to Upper Ammonoosuc Dam if you're here; camping at Roger's Campground is always a nice experience. Jonathan Pond gets a normal amount of annual rain; during August this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area next to Jonathan Pond has to offer. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Bretton Woods.
