James Pond is a beautiful lake in the White Mountains. Just can't get enough of James Pond. Looking for some flowing water? Try Claybank Brook. Lakes? Sure, Lonely Lake is in the vicinity. Summertime brings highs in the 50's to James Pond with night lows in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to James Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Cranmore       Mountain and strap some skis to your feet; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Bearcamp River. James Pond gets a lot of water; November is when you get the most snow here while July is regularly the driest month. On a perfect day at James Pond you can take a hike along the Chocorua Brook Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at James Pond, you can go for a hike along the Hammond Trail, and Bald                  Mountain can be seen from James Pond. A fine site to camp here at James Pond is Jigger Jonnson Campground 2, and the Liberty Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. This site, the White Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Camping at Chocorua Camping Village Best-holiday Trav-l-park is always a great experience, and Lazy Dog Inn is a good place to get some rest. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the White Mountains. A cool spot to pop by next to James Pond is Weetamoo Rock, and if you need a place to stay Tamworth Inn is a nice choice.
