Lonely Lake is a delightful lake in close proximity to James Pond, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Liberty Trail. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the White Mountains. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Attitash Bear Peak; get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Bearcamp River. Dry warm beds await you at Sky       Valley Motel And Cottages, and Weetamoo Rock is something you shouldn't miss while you're here. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things near James Pond. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Bald Mountain is a peak you can distinguish from James Pond; hiking along the Chocorua Brook Trail is wonderful fun. This lake is so wonderful. Claybank Brook is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit; Cranmore Mountain has nice slopes and a                  friendly staff. James Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; all through the month of November you get the most snow around here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. You simply have to love the White Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Wonalancet. There's so much to do here at James Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Pine Knoll Camp Ground and RV Resort is a good place for that. Attitash Mountain Village Resort is a great site to get some rest; lakes are such serene sites, why not check out Mirror Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything James Pond has to offer, you can camp at Jigger Jonnson Campground 2; James Pond is right by the Hammond Trail. Summertime at James Pond comes with high temperatures in the 50's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 10's; night lows through the winter for James Pond tend to be in the-10's.
