     Looking for some flowing water? Try Ceasars Brook, and Cricket Hill is uncomplicated to spot from Jakes Pond. This place is unbeatable, just explore all the amusing stuff to do near Jakes Pond. Whitewater paddling is fine on Piscataquog River - South Branch, and Autumn Hills Campground is a great campground nearby. On a nice day at Jakes Pond you can take a hike along the Mitchell Hill Road, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Pats Peak is pretty near. During  
   the days of summer here at Jakes Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 80's, and the overnight is rather chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Jakes Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
The high level of rainfall makes Jakes Pond a relatively wet place; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year
 
               is September. This lake is so wonderful. An out of the ordinary thing to have a look at right next door to Jakes Pond is Fearon Farm Pond Dam. Lakes are delightful; Lincoln Pond is a lake that's close to Jakes Pond. So much amusing stuff to do at Jakes Pond, so little time. The Wapack Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close to Jakes Pond; not far from Jakes Pond you'll hit upon Dream Lake which is a wonderful lake.
Paddling on Piscataquog River is so much fun, and you're sure to encounter some friendly people from Manchester-Nashua here. This lake is so wonderful. Hill - Brook Motel is a delightful site to get some rest, and Jakes Pond is a glorious spot to visit for more than one day, Field and Stream Travel Trailer Park is a glorious spot to camp nearby.
A day on the slopes of McIntyre is just what you need, and enjoy a round of golf at Buckmeadow Golf Club. Dry warm beds await you at The Bedford Village Inn, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Old Country Road.

Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats....

this place is the bomb!!!...Another trip to RockNBirch and what an awsome time. Been there several times and it just keeps getting better.(?)...Excellent campground!Nice pond. Mostly seasonal sites but had primitive area out back for tenting. Very peacfull. My only complaint was with one of the annual campers. Real jerk, he kept saying Hey Man every five seconds...RockNBirch in Henniker is GREAT...Lots of fun at RockNBirch. The owner is great and insures his guests have a good time. Snowmobile right from R&B for awsome winter fun. Summer brings good Bass fishing right from campground. Autumn is almost as colorful as the campers at RockNBirch...stop in for some excitment soon....
