Whitewater paddling is fine on Piscataquog River - South Branch, and Autumn Hills Campground is a great campground nearby. On a nice day at Jakes Pond you can take a hike along the Mitchell Hill Road, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Pats Peak is pretty near. During       the days of summer here at Jakes Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 80's, and the overnight is rather chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Jakes Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. The high level of rainfall makes Jakes Pond a relatively wet place; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year                  is September. This lake is so wonderful. An out of the ordinary thing to have a look at right next door to Jakes Pond is Fearon Farm Pond Dam. Lakes are delightful; Lincoln Pond is a lake that's close to Jakes Pond. So much amusing stuff to do at Jakes Pond, so little time. The Wapack Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close to Jakes Pond; not far from Jakes Pond you'll hit upon Dream Lake which is a wonderful lake. Paddling on Piscataquog River is so much fun, and you're sure to encounter some friendly people from Manchester-Nashua here. This lake is so wonderful. Hill - Brook Motel is a delightful site to get some rest, and Jakes Pond is a glorious spot to visit for more than one day, Field and Stream Travel Trailer Park is a glorious spot to camp nearby.
