At Jackman Pond you always meet someone from Laconia; Cold Brook is a splendid whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Jackman Pond has to offer, you can camp at Pine Woods Campground, and on a pretty day you get a brilliant sight of Bow Lake Village from Jackman Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Pond is a nearby lake that you       could check out, and a pleasant site for whitewater paddling is Bearcamp River. There's no way someone can get bored here in the White Mountains. Some of the water nearby flows, like Cold Brook; going for a hike along the Red Path will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. If only every spot had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great globe it would be. Throughout the warm months highs here at Jackman Pond get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while Jackman Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do close to Jackman Pond. The skiing at Waterville Valley is great. A common amount of rain falls here at Jackman Pond; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Have a good hiking adventure along the Bickford Trail, and if you get bored of Jackman Pond you could also go to close by Taylor Pond. So much fun stuff to do in the White Mountains, not enough time. Hiking along the Old Locke Road Path is nice fun, and a great close by hotel is Best Western Silver Fox Inn.
