Having a great time at Island Pond is uncomplicated. E.F. Lane Hotel is a good site to get some rest, and don't leave Island Pond without first going for a hike along the Farmers Trail. There's whitewater on Ashuelot River for all you adrenaline junkies; you can go for a hike on the Pumpelly Trail. Hit the slopes at Mount Sunapee       close at hand; lots of people from Keene come here. At Island Pond all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Island Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. So many exciting things near Island Pond, completely remarkable. There are pleasant sites to look at along the                  Monadnock Sunapee Trail. If you need a place to stay Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a great choice, and there are some great whitewater spots on Contoocook River - North Branch. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Crotched Mountain; why not camp at Seven Maples Campground since you're here at Island Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A quick spree to Carr Brook next to Island Pond is a magnificent idea, and Island Pond is not the only spot nearby, Robb Reservoir is a nearby lake. A lake close by is Upton Pond, and the vista of lovely Bacon Ledge is delightful.
