If you need a location to stay Village Of Loon Mountain (Vri) is a wonderful choice. Good hiking is available along the Wilderness Trail; a glorious nearby hotel is InnSeason Resorts Pollard Brook. At Ice Pond all through the summertime months highs are in the 70's while night lows are generally in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are typically in the 20's with temperatures at       Ice Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Little East Pond; paddling on Pemigewasset River - East Branch is so much fun.
