A great location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Ice Pond is Pemigewasset River - Hancock Br.; you can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Loon Mountain. Ice Pond is a good site of normal rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Franconia Brook Trail, and Black       Pond is a pleasant lake nearby. Really magnificent skiing awaits you at Waterville Valley. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is plentiful here in the White Mountains. Going for a hike on the Wilderness Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and a charming lake like Little East Pond is a fine location to pop by. Ice Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Hancock Campground is a great local campground, and Pemigewasset River - East Branch is a                  tremendous whitewater spot nearby. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the White Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at InnSeason Resorts Pollard Brook, and don't leave Ice Pond without first going for a hike along the Osseo Trail. For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Ice Pond get into the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Ice Pond temperatures sink to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Put some time aside to spend at Franconia Falls since you're here at Ice Pond, and after a long day outdoors Village Of Loon Mountain (Vri) is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Ice Pond, so little time.
