Why not stop by Ice Pond if you're passing through these parts. Ice Pond is a magnificent spot to visit for more than one day, Campers World Campground is a magnificent spot to camp nearby. Having a tremendous time at Ice Pond is easy. Pemigewasset River - East Branch has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and do take a hike on the Wilderness Trail. This lake is so wonderful. | | also explore lovely East Pond. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Ice Pond gets a typical amount of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the White Mountains. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Loon Mountain, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Osseo Trail. Summertime highs at Ice Pond | |

generally tend to be in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 20's; overnight lows at Ice Pond during the wintertime usually drop into the 0's. So much exciting stuff
to do in the White Mountains, not enough time. Do check out Black Pond near Ice Pond, it's a striking lake, and after a long day outdoors InnSeason Resorts Pollard Brook is a good place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
Hancock Campground is a tremendous local campground, and Village Of Loon Mountain (Vri) is a perfect place to get some rest. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pemigewasset
River - Hancock Br.; hiking along the Franconia Brook Trail is nice fun. Birch Island Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to, and Franconia Falls is a pretty place to explore while you're at Ice Pond.
