This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Abenaki; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Onemile Trail. Suncook Lake Dam is worth visiting if you're here, and the slopes of Gunstock are so inviting noone can resist. Stay the night at Hillcrest Campground and Cabins; since you're here you can take a hike along the Catamount Trail. From a rain point of view Huntress Pond is a reasonably       common place; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Suncook River, and unsurprisingly Big River flows through this vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. Sun River Campground is a delightful campground nearby; Upper Suncook Lake is a glorious lake close by. All through the summer months, highs generally are in the 80's at Huntress Pond. All through the                  dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Huntress Pond temperatures fall to the 0's. If you need a spot to stay Red Roof Inn Loudon is a perfect choice. Take a hike on the Campground Trail, and Nippo Lake Golf Club is a great golf course nearby. Man, is there heaps of fun stuff to do in the neighborhood of Huntress Pond.
