This lake is so wonderful. There are great places to look at along the Wilmot Trail, and Poverty Pond is a perfect lake close by. Summertime at Huntoon Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Huntoon Pond plunge into the 0's. Just can't get enough of the       White Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Newfound River River; why not camp at Bear Mountain Rustic Campground LLC since you're here at Huntoon Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Soar down the rapids of Smith River in a kayak, and after a long day outdoors Red Carpet Motel is a fine place to spend a night or two. Huntoon Pond is a beautiful lake in the White Mountains. Red Carpet Inn and Suites Plymouth is a glorious place to get some rest, and                  what would winter be without some skiing at Ragged Mountain. And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining things to do in the White Mountains. You're sure to stumble upon some good folks from Concord here, and there are other spots here than Huntoon Pond, for example March Pond. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Camping is available at Camp Kenwood & Evergreen, and wonderful scenery and great skiing is what you obtain at Tenney Mountain. Good hiking is available along the Holt Trail. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Huntoon Pond; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while January is ordinarily the driest month.
