Pillsbury Lake
 | 11 miles away We have lived on Pillsbury Lake for over 20 years and have enjoyed every minute. The countryside is beautiful! I walked our youngest child, Deborah Jean, in a stroller on our beautiful back roads. We have a wonderful family atmosphere of folks living here and a law enforcement that does a fabulous job keeping our town safe. We love to fish, swim and boat; and although we had a setback with the dam break for the summer of 2006, we look forward to seeing the repairs of our dam to once again restore our beautiful body of water. We have seen the population grow over the years with wonderful families ready to discover what we have here in Webster. Our four children all agree they thoroughly enjoyed growing up here.... |

Sun River Campground
 | 17 miles away Have been here a couple of times and its the best! We go with a group and get all the sites near the river/stream (perhaps the river/stream is Sun River)and its wonderful!!! No need to worry about the kids and/or dogs bothering anyone and they can just play in the water, fish, look for frogs, float on their tubes, etc. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean!!! We've stayed here a number of years and I couldn't ask for more from a camp ground . . . you're camping but still have all the conveniences right at hand! The spot we get near the water is by far the best! Country store is close and, for those who are interested, I can even use my cell phone (only if necessary, of course)without getting cut off! Thumbs up to Sun River Camp Ground!!! ... |

 | 24 miles away I went to this mountain with my school and it was a really fun expiernce and I am planning to go back with my school some time soon.......e substantial funds to help with improvements, the new owners hired ski industry veteran Bob Fries as president and general manager to implement the necessary changes. Fries has an impressive resume with 35 years in the ski resort business including five years as owner and president of Bolton Valley, president of Stratton Mountain in Vermont, and president of Breckenridge in Colorado. With Fries as the new president, Ragged Mountain applied to Audubon International to become a Certified Silver Signature Sanctuary. Audubon International only accepts applications for this level of certification when it can be involved before the construction of infrastructure has begun in order to provide critical input in the design phase, and guidance as the design takes the form of construction. Ragged Mountain has been accepted into the Signature Sanctuary program. By the end of last season the resort was receiving numerous unsolicited positive testimonials about the new Ragged Mountain.
