Pats Peak has great slopes and a friendly staff, and you can stay the night at Friendly Beaver Camp Ground. Hill - Brook Motel is a delightful spot to get some rest, and Buckmeadow Golf Club is a golf course nearby. Hortons Pond is a wet place that gets a good deal of                  rain; November is when you get the most rain here while September is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Get soaked paddling on Souhegan River; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Old Country Road. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Hortons Pond. Crotched Mountain is a very popular ski area close at hand. Lakes are glorious; Stearns Pond is a lake that's near Hortons Pond. It's always great to explore Purgatory Falls. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hortons Pond has to offer, you can camp at Wildwood Campground. At Hortons Pond through the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, mostly in the 50's.
