Why not camp at Bear Mountain Rustic Campground LLC if you're here at Horseshoe Pond, and you can never get enough of the brilliant skiing at Pats Peak. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Horseshoe Pond. Get your pulse rate up on the wonderful whitewater of Pemigewasset River, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Smith River. This lake is so wonderful.       After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites TILTON is a nice place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike along the Holt Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. A magnificent close by hotel is The Henniker Motel, and if you get bored of Horseshoe Pond you could also visit close by Elbow Pond. Any time is a brilliant time at Horseshoe Pond if you go for the outdoors. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the                  Melton Falls Trail; don't forget to take a splendid little tour to Hameshop Brook. During the warm months highs here at Horseshoe Pond get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's; overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Horseshoe Pond tend to be in the 0's. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the White Mountains. Hiking along the Wilmot Trail is good fun; Horseshoe Pond is not far at all from Concord. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ragged Mountain if you're here; the summit of Beech Hill can be distinguished from Horseshoe Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Bradley Lake Dam, and a great forest close by is Ragged Mountain State Forest. Camping is available at Camp Kenwood & Evergreen, and Horseshoe Pond is not the only spot nearby, Adder Pond is a nearby lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the White Mountains. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
