Horseshoe Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, State Line Campground is a pleasant local campground. Why not stop by Horseshoe Pond Dam if you're here, and skiing at Pine Ridge is one of those things you just have to do. This is a perfect vicinity for people who like lakes. Laurel Lake is a lake in close proximity, and dry warm beds                  await you at E.F. Lane Hotel. This lake is so wonderful. The panorama of Hayden Hill from Horseshoe Pond is beautiful; get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Millers River. During the summertime at Horseshoe Pond temperatures are usually in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's while Horseshoe Pond night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Crotched Mountain, and going for a hike on the Marlboro Trail is always a great adventure. From a precipitation point of view Horseshoe Pond is a quite typical spot; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful.
