    Go to Horseshoe Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. A day on the slopes of Pine Ridge is just what you need; get yourself into a kayak and hit Ashuelot River - South Branch. At Horseshoe Pond Dam close to Horseshoe Pond there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and the sight of Hayden Hill is delightful. Having a magnificent time at Horseshoe Pond is painless. People from Keene love to come to Horseshoe Pond, and do stop at Scott Pond, it's a beautiful  
   lake.
Horseshoe Pond is right by the Farmers Trail, and there's some flowing water close by, Kemp Brook is a stream you can pop by while here. Why not take a refreshing hike along the White Arrow Trail; the skiing at Crotched Mountain is magnificent. So many entertaining things in close proximity to Horseshoe Pond, definitely fantastic. You'll discover a scenic lake called Sportsman Pond near Horseshoe Pond.

If you come at the right time of year, Millers River offers some tremendous whitewater; after a long day outdoors Best Western Sovereign Hotel is a nice site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Horseshoe Pond that you need to camp here for a while, State Line Campground is a good spot for that, and E.F. Lane Hotel is a glorious spot to get some rest.
