This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Contoocook River, and do take a hike on the Wapack Trail. Hit the slopes at Crotched Mountain close by. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hogback Pond has to offer, you can camp at Seven Maples Campground.       All the outdoors exciting stuff near Hogback Pond will keep you coming back time and again. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Mitchell Hill Road. There's so much to do here at Hogback Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Field'n Forest Recreation Area is a great location for that. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Hogback Pond. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while Hogback                  Pond night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. An average amount of rainfall falls at Hogback Pond; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Stony Brook; The Henniker Motel is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Having a great time at Hogback Pond is easy. On a lovely day you can explore Campers Beach in the neighborhood of Hogback Pond, and why not take a look at a swamp like Spruce Swamp if you're here at Hogback Pond. Picnickers Beach is near Hogback Pond and is a striking beach to go to, and a golf course close by is Monadnock Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Colonial Hotel is a great spot to spend a night or two, and you can observe Gould Hill from Hogback Pond. This is a pleasant vicinity for folks who like lakes.
