Be careful coming to Hogback Pond, you might not ever wanna go home again. The Parker Trail is a great hiking trail close to Hogback Pond, and a round of golf at nearby Monadnock Country Club is a nice way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. Hogback Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Seven Maples Campground is a splendid local campground; a splendid close       by hotel is Colonial Hotel. Pats Peak has good slopes and a friendly staff; a great location to camp here at Hogback Pond is Field'n Forest Recreation Area. Swamps can be such attention-grabbing sites, stop at Spruce Swamp if you're here at Hogback Pond, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stony Brook. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Gould Hill can be seen from Hogback Pond, and if you need                  a place to stay The Henniker Motel is a perfect choice. On a tremendous day it's a great idea to spend the day at Picnickers Beach, and Mill Race Dam is a lovely spot. You're in all probability keen on lakes, Powder Mill Pond is one of those nearby. Summer at Hogback Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Hogback Pond. If the weather is great here at Hogback Pond, you can go for a hike along the Mitchell Hill Road; the wonderful people of Manchester-Nashua like to hang out nearby. Really great skiing awaits you at Crotched Mountain, and going for a hike along the Wapack Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. The yearly rain here at Hogback Pond is about average; November is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is January. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Hogback Pond.
