Man, is there loads of exciting stuff to do near Hodge Pond. Playing golf is lots of fun at Shattuck Golf Course, and you can go for a hike on the White Dot Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Harling Trail is always a perfect adventure; hey, Gotta ski right? Crotched Mountain is a delightful place to do that. For       the period of the summer months here at Hodge Pond, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Hodge Pond descend into the 0's. Pearly Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and camping is available at Monadnock State Park Campground. On a glorious day you can go to Dead                  Swamp, a swamp close to Hodge Pond, and obviously Mead Brook flows through this vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. Pearly Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out; camping at Woodemere Park Campground is always a magnificent experience. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Get soaked paddling on Ashuelot River - South Branch, and after a long day outdoors Colonial Hotel is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two. There are great places to explore along the Parker Trail; you're sure to run into some smiling people from Keene here. What would winter be without some skiing at Wachusett Mountain. Hodge Pond gets a common amount of annual rain; May is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture.
