Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff close to Hills Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hills Pond; Catamount Trail is a perfect local trail, and if you need a site to stay The Margate Resort is a great choice. A lake close by is Lake Eileen, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Suncook River. Hills Pond is a tremendous site to visit for more than one day,       Green Tops Campground is a tremendous site to camp nearby; Hills Pond is not the only location nearby, Sunset Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Campground Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Abenaki since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Gunstock, and Sunset Lake Dam is a striking spot. For the duration of the summer highs                  here at Hills Pond get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows during the winter for Hills Pond tend to be in the 0's. Hills Pond usually gets a large amount of rain; most of the rain falls during November while January is typically the driest month. Nothing beats kicking back at Alton Town Beach; since you're here, you could go to Frohock Brook. During your journey to Hills Pond you'll meet some folks from Laconia for sure, and dry warm beds await you at Wolfeboro Inn. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Wolfeboro Town Beach is a beach near Hills Pond that you can pop by; Bay Hill Campground and Cabins is a delightful local campground.
