If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites TILTON is a tremendous choice, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Manning Trail. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the White Mountains has to offer. People from Concord love to come to Highland Lake, and of course Tilton Brook is a delightful stream that is worth taking a look       at. Smith River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by, and a glorious nearby hotel is Super 8 Tilton/Lake Winnipesaukee. This lake is so wonderful. Boston Hill is a peak you can make out from Highland Lake, and whitewater paddling is great on Pemigewasset River. Hit the slopes at Tenney Mountain in the vicinity, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Melton Falls Trail. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Ragged                  Mountain, and Highland Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Grove Campground is a nice local campground. Just can't get enough of Highland Lake. A lake nearby is Weeks Pond, and do take a hike on the Wilmot Trail. Through the warmest time of the year at Highland Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 20's; nighttime lows at Highland Lake during the wintertime usually fall into the 0's. Highland Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. So many fun things to do at Highland Lake, so little time. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The White Mountains is peerless! Emory Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to.
