The warmest time of the year at Highland Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; overnight lows in the 10's for Highland Lake. North Outlet is a tremendous spot to spend some       time at; dry warm beds await you at E.F. Lane Hotel. Stay the night at Idle Times Campground, and brilliant skiing awaits you at Crotched Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Pickerel Creek Dam has tremendous water scenery and it's near Highland Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Pumpelly Trail. A common amount of rain falls here at Highland Lake; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest                  month of the year is February. At Highland Lake you can observe Nancy Mountain; if you're here, you could also have a look at lovely Pickerel Creek Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the perfect skiing at Mount Sunapee, and Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a great location to get some rest. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Otter Brook, and Highland Lake is right by the Farmers Trail.
