Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Bear Pond, and Hawkins Pond is right by the Ramsey Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hawkins Pond; The Wall Trail is a splendid local trail, and if you need a spot to stay The Summit Resort is a good choice. And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining things to do in the White Mountains. Get yourself       into a kayak and hit Mad River, and Hawkins Pond is not far at all from Laconia. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Hawkins Pond get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Hawkins Pond. Hawkins Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February.                  This lake is so wonderful.
