Piscataquog River - South Branch is a perfect whitewater spot near Haunted Lake, and pleasant skiing awaits you at Pats Peak. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are truly bountiful here at Haunted Lake. Why not camp at Friendly Beaver Camp Ground while you're here at Haunted Lake, and don't forget to take a magnificent little tour to Rand Brook. There is a pleasant hiking trail       close to Haunted Lake called the Old Country Road, and after a long day outdoors The Henniker Motel is a great site to spend a night or two. Lots of people from Manchester-Nashua come to Haunted Lake, and Haunted Lake is not the only place nearby, Ferrin Pond is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Souhegan River, and Crotched Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff.                  Dry warm beds await you at Hill - Brook Motel, and close by you find the Wapack Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. The high level of rainfall makes Haunted Lake a quite wet place; most of the rain falls through November; January is when it's the driest. Johnny Hill is pretty and can be spotted from Haunted Lake, and a wonderful spot to camp here at Haunted Lake is Wildwood Campground. You definitely must adore Haunted Lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Haunted Lake. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Haunted Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
