Why not stop by Hall Ponds if you're passing through these parts. Any time is a great time at Hall Ponds if you have a thing about the outdoors. If you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Waterville Valley Golf Course; after a long day outdoors Best Western Silver Fox Inn is a glorious location to spend a night or two. Going for a hike on the Algonquin Trail is always a pleasant adventure; nearby Sandwich Notch is a good spot to go. A day on the slopes

The skiing at Loon Mountain is glorious; at Hall Ponds you can see Black Mountain. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the White Mountains. the White Mountains is easy. Branch Brook Fourseason Campground is a delightful local campground; you're sure to bump into some nice folks from Laconia here. During the summertime months at Hall Ponds highs are mostly in the 70's;
through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 20's; overnight lows at Hall Ponds during the wintertime mostly dip into the 0's. If you come at the right time of year, Smarts Brook
offers some nice whitewater. Hall Ponds is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Ridgepole Trail, and Hall Ponds is a great location to visit for more than one day, Goose
Hollow Camp and RV Park is a great location to camp nearby. The annual rainfall here at Hall Ponds is about average; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture.
