Hiking along the Clark Trail is delightful fun. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Halfmoon Pond has to offer, you can camp at Crescent Campsites. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The White Mountains rules! Take a hike on the Mowglis Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Ragged Mountain. Halfmoon Pond is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains. Take a little visit to Halfmoon       Pond Brook since you're here at Halfmoon Pond, and Halfmoon Pond is not the only site close by, Kilton Pond is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. Halfmoon Pond is right by the West Ridge Trail; a lake nearby is Hale Pond. Through the warm days of summer at Halfmoon Pond temperatures are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's with temperatures at Halfmoon                  Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. A tremendous nearby hotel is The Trumbull House Bed And Breakfast, and from Halfmoon Pond you acquire a brilliant view of Ford Hill. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Halfmoon Pond; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Croyden Brook. There's so much to do here at Halfmoon Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Baker River Campground is a great place for that.
