Beautiful Halfmoon Lake has much to offer visitors. Locke Lake Colony Dam is a pretty spot close to Halfmoon Lake; at Halfmoon Lake you always meet someone from Laconia. If you want to hit the beach, Alton Town Beach is close at hand, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Suncook River. Green Tops Campground is a good campground nearby; going for a hike along the Catamount Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. If only every place

| | had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great earth it would be. Man, is there a heap of fun stuff to do right next door to Halfmoon Lake. If you need a spot to stay Wolfeboro Inn is a good choice, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Gunstock. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Roberts Knoll Campground is a splendid spot to camp, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Onemile Trail. | |

Really pleasant skiing awaits you at Abenaki, and not far from Halfmoon Lake you'll discover Brindle Pond which is a scenic lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Campground Trail is magnificent fun, and a delightful close
by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ROCHESTER. Lakes are good; Locke Lake is a lake that's next to Halfmoon Lake; a round of golf at nearby Nippo Lake Golf Club is a glorious way to kill some time. The amount of rain
