Get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Ashuelot River; if you're a golfer then a great close by course is Pine Grove Spring Country Club. Hale Pond is a wet spot that gets a great deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one       that rains the most; February is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Hale Pond typically tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's; nighttime lows all through the winter for Hale Pond tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There are pleasant locations to look at along the Marlboro Trail; camping is available at Forest Lake Camping Grounds. There is a tremendous hiking trail close to Hale Pond called the Sunrise Trail, and why not camp at Swanzey Lake Camping Area since you're here at Hale Pond.
