This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Loon Mountain is great, and a perfect spot for whitewater paddling is Mad River. This is a popular place for people from Laconia. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Guinea Pond has to offer, you can camp at Bear's Pine Woods Campground. And if that's not enough there's a load more enjoyable things to do in the White       Mountains. At Guinea Pond you can distinguish Dinsmore Mountain, and you can stay the night at Camp Winaukee. This lake is so wonderful. Smarts Brook is a fine whitewater spot near Guinea Pond, and for you golfers we recommend close by Waterville Valley Golf Course. Summertime highs at Guinea Pond usually tend to be in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Guinea Pond night low temperatures                  during the winter are in the 0's. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the White Mountains. The Black Mountain Pond Trail is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Guinea Pond, and a short tour to Beede Falls is always worthwhile.
