Get yourself into a kayak and hit Contoocook River - North Branch, and if you need a location to stay The Henniker Motel is a good choice. At Gregg Lake through the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 20's,       and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Gregg Lake sink into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Gregg Lake you can distinguish Holt Hill, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Pumpelly Trail. If you're looking for a beach close to Gregg Lake, we recommend Picnickers Beach, and if you come at the right time of year, Contoocook River offers some wonderful whitewater. Any time is a good time at Gregg Lake if you                  fancy the outdoors. Seven Maples Campground is a great campground nearby, and Crotched Mountain has perfect slopes and a friendly staff. Very wonderful water scenery is available at Gregg Lake Dam close to Gregg Lake, and Steels Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Field'n Forest Recreation Area; while you're here, you could also explore beautiful Lily Pond. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Gregg Lake. Hit the slopes at Pats Peak in close proximity, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Evas Marsh is right nearby. A glorious beach in the neighborhood of Gregg Lake is Campers Beach, and going for a hike along the Wapack Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. While you're here at Gregg Lake you can play some golf at Angus Lea Golf Course.
