Great Hill Pond gets a common amount of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All the outdoors exciting things in the White Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. If you need a place to stay Tamworth Inn is a good choice, and there's tremendous hiking along the Bickford Trail. Not enough hours in a day       to enjoy the White Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Old Locke Road Path, and if you're popping by from Laconia, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect place to camp here at Great Hill Pond is Jigger Johnson Campground 1; there's whitewater on Bearcamp River for all you adrenaline kick people. After a long day outdoors Matterhorn Motor Lodge is a good site to spend a night or two, and camping at Jigger Jonnson Campground                  2 is always a glorious experience. Brown Hill is gorgeous and can be made out from Great Hill Pond; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Wonalancet. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Attitash Bear Peak are so inviting noone can resist; the Big Rock Cave Trail offers hiking at its best. High temperatures at Great Hill Pond all through the months of summer are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Great Hill Pond are in the 0's. Some close by water includes Hoag Brook. Great Hill Pond is located in the White Mountains. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do near Great Hill Pond.
