Center Pond is a delightful lake in the neighborhood of Granite Lake, and don't leave Granite Lake without first going for a hike along the Marlboro Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Sovereign Hotel is a good location to get some rest, and a magnificent place for whitewater paddling is Otter Brook. Lakes? Sure, Chandler Meadow Pond is in close proximity, and Mount Sunapee is a very popular ski area close at hand. A good swamp next to Granite Lake

| | is Chandler Meadow. There's so much to do here at Granite Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hilltop Camp is a wonderful place for that. Throughout the warm days of summer at Granite Lake highs are regularly in the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; overnight lows at Granite Lake throughout the winter generally descend into the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. | |

Go for a hike on the Farmers Trail, and since you're here, you could go to Davis Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Brooks Hill can be spotted from Granite Lake, and Minnewawa River is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. Now,
you may feel that's a heap but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Granite Lake. The scenery at Granite Lake Dam close to Granite Lake is lovely, and Crotched Mountain has nice slopes and a friendly staff. Lots of people
from Keene come to Granite Lake; Granite Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Idle Times Campground is a perfect local campground. A perfect close by hotel is E.F. Lane Hotel; brilliant hiking is available along
the Pumpelly Trail. Granite Lake is a good site of normal precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
