You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Governors Pond. Throughout the warm days of summer here at Governors Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are usually       in the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Governors Pond fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Governors Pond you'll in all probability meet some people from Lebanon, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ascutney since you're here. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Governors Pond. You're probably into lakes, Sumners Pond is one of those nearby, and                  if you come at the right time of year, Croyden Brook offers some great whitewater. A brilliant nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Claremont, and Claremont Country Club Country Club is a pleasant golf course close by. Days Inn Lebanon/Hanover is a great place to get some rest, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Futures Trail. Why not stop by nearby Perry Brook since you're here at Governors Pond, and the Slot Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Sugar River; Crow's Nest The is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Governors Pond is a splendid site to visit for more than one day, Crows Nest Campground is a splendid site to camp nearby, and as expected, this is a pleasant area for folks who like lakes, Chapin Pond is a lake in the vicinity.
