Abbott Brook is a great local stream, and from Gould Pond you get a glorious view of Bald Hill. A beautiful lake like Duck Hole near Gould Pond is a great site to check out, and a day on the slopes of Crotched Mountain is just what you need.       This lake is so wonderful. Do visit Lower Stillwater near Gould Pond, it's a delightful lake, and glorious hiking is available along the Farmers Trail. E.F. Lane Hotel is a tremendous location to get some rest; this is a popular site for folks from Keene. The snow is great at Mount Sunapee. Summertime highs at Gould Pond generally tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the                  20's with temperatures at Gould Pond dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Just can't get enough of Gould Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Gould Pond; Marlboro Trail is a nice local trail, and you can run the rapids of Ashuelot River. Gould Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; through August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
