On a great day at Gilson Pond you can take a hike along the Parker Trail, and a quick spree                  to Hinds Brook is positively a fine idea. This lake is so wonderful. Gilson Pond Dam has splendid water scenery and it's near Gilson Pond, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Contoocook River. Lakes? Sure, Thorndike Pond is nearby, and a great place to camp here at Gilson Pond is Emerald Acres. What a spot this is for outdoors folks.
