There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Burke Mountain, and Gilman Project Reservoir is not far at all from Berlin. The panorama of stunning Beede Mountain near Gilman Project Reservoir is fine, and Apple Hill Campground is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Gilman Project Reservoir you can take a hike along       the Gale River Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Ammonoosuc River. Gilman Project Reservoir gets a typical amount of annual rain; through August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is fine here at Gilman Project Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Loon Trail, and Gilman Project Reservoir is not                  the only place close by, Neal Pond is a close by lake.
