Great Gulf is next to Garnet Pool and is without doubt a tremendous place to go to, and camping at White Birches Mountain Camping Park is always a tremendous experience. That right there is lots of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the White Mountains has it all. What would winter be without some skiing at Wildcat, and there's whitewater on Peabody River - West Branch for all you thrill seekers. Dry warm beds await you at A Top Notch Inn. Lakes? Sure, Lost Pond is around here. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the White Mountains. Very scenic scenery and delightful skiing is what you get at Black Mountain, and some out of the ordinary geology is available here, Vals Ledge is right here. This lake is located in the wonderful White Mountains. All the water falling down from the sky makes Garnet Pool a wet place; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Great Gulf Trail is pleasant fun, and Garnet Pool is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Timberland Camping Area is a pleasant local campground.
