It's always fun to stop by Garfield Pond. Drift down the rapids of Ammonoosuc River in a kayak, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Loon Mountain is pretty near. Having a nice time in the White Mountains is trouble-free. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Bethlehem Reservoir; Lafayette Campground is a wonderful campground here. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains. You just can't picture

0's. This lake is so wonderful. One of the main features of the surroundings of Garfield Pond is Flat Top Mountain, and you can go for a hike on the Garfield Ridge Trail. If you need a location to stay Franconia Notch Motel is
a good choice, and a day on the slopes of Cannon Mountain is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Burnt Brook; brilliant hiking is available along the Garfield Trail. And if that's not
sufficient, there's a heap more to do near Garfield Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Wayside Inn, and golf can be played at Maplewood Country Club & Hotel. If only every site had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great
planet it would be. If you came for an overnight stay Gale River Campground is a nice place to camp; if you come at the right time of year, Ammonoosuc River offers some nice whitewater. The annual precipitation here at Garfield Pond is about average; most of the rain falls during August; February on the other hand is the driest.
