you're here at Frog Pond. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Soar down the rapids of Contoocook River - North Branch in a kayak; the Farmers Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
If you get bored of Frog Pond, you could also stop at nearby Bacon Pond, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Frog Pond
has to offer, you can camp at Rand Pond Campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sugar River. If you're here at Frog Pond, you could check out Bog Brook, and Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a great place to get some rest.

I've seen great blue heron, ducks of many varieties, Canada geese and even two bald eagles. It's easy to surprise beaver early in the morning as well as muskrat and oppossum. I haven's spotted deer yet, but have heard them crashing off into the brush when I paddle too close to shore in the morning mists.... |

Ragged Mountain
 | 21 miles away I went to this mountain with my school and it was a really fun expiernce and I am planning to go back with my school some time soon.......y 2007, Ragged Mountain, a 1,650 acre mountain resort which includes a 220 acre ski area and an 18-hole golf course, was purchased by Salt Lake City based resort developer RMR-Pacific, an affiliate of Pacific Group. Since then, total acreage has increased to 2,000 and plans call for 65 further acres of slopes. Upon acquiring the mountain property, the new owners invested over $2 million into the resort for renovations including 14,000 feet of new snow making pipe, 25 new energy efficient snow guns, new snow groomers, a new Wonder carpet lift for beginners, chairlift improvements including reviving lift service to Spear Mountain, base lodge renovations including new carpet, the repair of steps and outside brick walkways, the addition of seasonal lockers and an outdoor fire pit, and adding two new restaurants. The renovations did not stop there.
