French Pond usually gets lots of rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is January. If you're here at French Pond and you like golf, you can stop by Duston Country Club Golf Course; a lake nearby is Keyser Pond. Crotched Mountain is a great local ski area, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Old Country Road. Not enough hours in       a day to enjoy this location. French Pond is right by the Wapack Trail, and a good close by hotel is The Centennial. You'll need more than a day to discover everything French Pond has to offer, you can camp at Mile/Away Campground, and if you need a spot to stay The Henniker Motel is a delightful choice. You can take a little visit to Grassy Pond Dam while you're here at French Pond; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Amey Brook. This lake is                  so wonderful. There's so much to do here at French Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Rock' N Birch Campground is a glorious place for that; hiking is a popular thing to do around French Pond; Wilmot Trail is a fine local trail. Man, is there a load of exciting stuff to do in the neighborhood of French Pond. Some tremendous nature is available in Ames State Forest; Carr Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Pats Peak is in the neighborhood of French Pond; from French Pond you acquire a brilliant vista of Clement Hill. Through the warm days of summer highs here at French Pond get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at French Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
