On a nice day at Franklin Pierce Lake you can take a hike along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail; you can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Pats Peak. This lake is so wonderful. Oxbow Campground is a brilliant local       campground, and if you need a site to stay The Henniker Motel is a splendid choice. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Franklin Pierce Lake. Why not camp at Cliffton's Country Camping if you're here at Franklin Pierce Lake, and Campbell Pond Dam is a pretty place. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Contoocook River - North Branch; a magnificent nearby hotel is Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. There                  are plenty of folks from Concord here at Franklin Pierce Lake; the view of Bible Hill is wonderful. There is a wonderful hiking trail close to Franklin Pierce Lake called the Parker Trail, and skiing at Crotched Mountain is one of those things you just must do. If you come at the right time of year, Contoocook River offers some tremendous whitewater; the Wapack Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close by. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Franklin Pierce Lake. Near Franklin Pierce Lake you discover a golf course called Angus Lea Golf Course, and Beard Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit. All through the days of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Franklin Pierce Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's.
