And that's not all the things to do here in the White Mountains. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Smith River; hiking is a popular thing to do around Foster Pond; Holt Trail is a good local trail. There's magnificent hiking along the Manning Trail, and folks from Concord love to come here. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Pleasant View Bed & Breakfast, and the summit of Gordon       Hill can be spotted from Foster Pond. Foster Pond is a beautiful lake in the White Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things near Foster Pond. You can run the rapids of Fowler River close to Foster Pond; Davidson's Countryside Campground is a splendid campground here. So much entertaining stuff in the White Mountains, just amazing. Some of the water nearby flows, like Dickinson Brook, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Tenney Mountain.                  Foster Pond gets a normal amount of annual rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at Foster Pond all through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Foster Pond tend to be in the 0's. Don't leave Foster Pond without first going for a hike along the Melton Falls Trail, and after a long day outdoors Whip O Will Motel & Cottages is a delightful place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
