After a long day outdoors Mountain View Grand Resort is a good place to spend a night or two, and close by you stumble on the Gale River Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. Forest Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. You could also go to Burns Pond while you're here at Forest Lake; it's nearby, and the scenery at Forest Lake Dam is scenic. You get a brilliant

| | sight of Dalton Mountain from Forest Lake; in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ammonoosuc River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Forest Lake has to offer, you can camp at Snowy Mountain Campground, and if you've had enough of Forest Lake, Ammonoosuc River Reservoir is close by. up to Cannon Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and going for a hike on the Garfield Trail is always a delightful adventure. There are delightful sites to look at along the Nubble Mountain Trail; a great close by hotel
is Northern Star Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Forest Lake there are plenty of people from Berlin; the snow is great at Loon Mountain. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Forest Lake, and during the night it cools down to
the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Forest Lake are in the-10's. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Forest Lake. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf
course like Maplewood Country Club & Hotel, and Forest Lake is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Apple Hill Campground is a perfect site to camp nearby.
