Why not take a refreshing hike along the Old Country Road. There's so much to do here at Flints Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Field and Stream Travel Trailer Park is a glorious spot for that. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Flints Pond; Mitchell Hill Road is a brilliant local trail, and brilliant skiing awaits you at Wachusett Mountain. But wait, there's more to do close to Flints Pond. Pennichuck Pond is a delightful lake next to Flints

| | Pond; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Piscataquog River. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Crowne Plaza Hotel NASHUA, and if you come at the right time of year, Merrimack River offers some great whitewater. sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is September. The warmest time of the year at Flints Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's.
Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Flints Pond.

Locust Pond
 | 1 PHOTO Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats.... |
