Crotched Mountain is a great place to do that, and a quick tour to Richardson Brook is certainly a great idea. During the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Fletcher Pond. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Fletcher Pond temperatures descend to the 10's. After a long day outdoors Best Western       Sunapee Lake Lodge is a good spot to spend a night or two, and naturally, this is a great vicinity for people who like lakes, Butterfield Pond is a lake close at hand. Everybody close by loves skiing at Mount Sunapee, and not far from Fletcher Pond you get some tremendous water scenery at Butterfield Pond Dam. This lake is so wonderful. One of the dominant highlights of the surroundings of Fletcher Pond is Ames Hill, and get soaked paddling on Croyden                  Brook. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Going for a hike on the Monadnock Sunapee Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and if you came for an overnight stay Idle Times Campground is a great location to camp. The annual rainfall here at Fletcher Pond is about average; August is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Go for a hike on the Farmers Trail, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Keene for sure. If you love the outdoors, you'll adore Fletcher Pond. If you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn Claremont is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. There are pleasant places to discover along the Pumpelly Trail; Rand Pond Campground is a nice campground nearby.
