     Take a hike on the Marlboro Trail, and you can run the rapids of Ashuelot River - South Branch. Dry warm beds await you at E.F. Lane Hotel, and camping is available at State Line Campground. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Farrar Pond. During your visit to Farrar Pond you'll meet some folks from Keene for sure, and hey, Brandy Brook is a nice local stream. An average amount of precipitation falls at Farrar Pond; during  
   August this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
Minnewawa River is a magnificent whitewater spot right next door to Farrar Pond, and camping at Woodbrook Camp and Tennis Club is always a pleasant experience. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, West Hill Reservoir is nearby, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Farmers Trail. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Sovereign Hotel is a delightful choice, and Crotched
 
               Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff.
High temperatures at Farrar Pond throughout the summer are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Farrar Pond. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Farrar Pond you can take a hike along the White Arrow Trail; there are other places here than Farrar Pond, for example Meetinghouse Pond.
