If you need a place to stay The Mount Washington Hotel & Resort is a perfect choice. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Paddling on Dry River is so much fun, and don't leave Ethan Pond without first going for a hike along the Avalon Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Ethan Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The winter       brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows at Ethan Pond during the wintertime usually drop into the 0's. Good hiking is available along the Mount Avalon Trail, of course you could also go to Shoal Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. Camping at Dry River Campground is always a good experience, and some of the water close by flows, like Willey Brook. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the nice skiing at Waterville Valley, and                  after a long day outdoors Mount Washington Hotel is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the White Mountains. Go for a hike on the Wiley Range Trail, and in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Ammonoosuc Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Ammonoosuc River in a kayak, and a wonderful place to camp here at Ethan Pond is Tarry-ho-cottages. Ethan Pond is located in the White Mountains. Ethan Pond gets a common amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the White Mountains.
