Elbow Pond is not the only location nearby, Adder Pond is a nearby lake; if you're going to from Concord, you won't be the only one. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you need a location to stay The Henniker Motel is a pleasant choice, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Smith River. Be careful coming to the White Mountains, you might not       ever want to return home again. While you're here at Elbow Pond you can take a hike along the Melton Falls Trail, and some tremendous nature is available in Ragged Mountain State Forest. Camping is available at Bear Mountain Rustic Campground LLC, and The Bulkhead is pretty and can be seen from here. Man, is there plenty of amusing things to do near Elbow Pond. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites TILTON is a great site to get some rest. If the weather is great                  here at Elbow Pond, you can go for a hike along the Holt Trail, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Pemigewasset River. This lake is so wonderful. Have a great hiking adventure along the Wilmot Trail, and Ragged Mountain is a very popular ski area in close proximity. Elbow Pond is a beautiful lake in the White Mountains. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Elbow Pond; May is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is January. Camping at Camp Kenwood & Evergreen is always a splendid experience; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Pats Peak. Summertime highs at Elbow Pond typically tend to be in the 80's, and the overnight is slightly chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Elbow Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
