New Hampshire has many beautiful lakes and Duncan Lake is one of them. Time spent at Clows Beach right next door to Duncan Lake is always wonderful, and Ossipee River is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Duncan Lake get into the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Duncan Lake

| | temperatures plunge to the 0's. That right there is heaps already, but it carries on; Duncan Lake has it all. Going for a hike on the Piper Trail is always a brilliant adventure. And that's not all you can do here at Duncan Lake. On a pretty day you get a view of Milliken Hill from Duncan Lake, and Black Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Abenaki since you're here, and you can run the rapids | |

of Lovell River. This lake is so wonderful. Near Duncan Lake you come across a golf course called Indian Mound Golf Club, and a fine spot to camp here at Duncan Lake is Pine River Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Wolfeboro
Inn is a good place to get some rest, and do explore Lost Ponds, it's a delightful lake. Dry warm beds await you at Merrill Farm Resort, and nearby you locate the White Ledge Trail which is a good hiking trail. Why not stop at close
by Peavey Brook while you're here at Duncan Lake, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Weetamoo Trail. Duncan Lake gets a large amount of water; November is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of
the year is January. Duncan Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Beaver Hollow Campground is a brilliant local campground, and what would winter be without some skiing at King Pine.
